Room Four's senior camp was another casualty of Covid-19. Our trip to Tui Ridge Park in Rotorua with several other SDA Schools became doubtful when we re-entered Level 2, so with parent consultation we made the call to do local activities instead. "This was the funnest time I've ever had at this school. I loved the adrenaline forest and the crazy high courses." - Zeth Monday's trip was to Eastbourne to ride to Pencarrow Head and the lighthouse. We hired bikes from The Bike Shed who were fantastic! Biking there was easy, but a tail wind there meant a head wind on the way back, and what a head wind it was. "I liked when we went cycling and got exercise." - Azriel "I did like the bike ride because it used energy, and it was long." - Zeke Tuesday's activities were swimming at Coastlands Aquatic Centre and then Ten Pin Bowling at Paraparaumu. We had a great time watching two older ladies in the walking lane interact with our kids. At one point they even turned their inflatable over and dunked them. Bowling was great fun too. It was hard to tell who won as so many used the gutter guards. Is that cheating? No one minded. "I also liked the Swimming pools because I got to play in the water with my friends and go down the slide in the pools." - Justin Wednesday was meant to be a hike through the forest at Orongorongo, but the weather was wet, windy and cold. Alternative activities were Laserforce in Wellington and Jumperama at Hutt Park. Everyone slept well on Wednesday night!
"I really enjoyed learning to use a laser gun at Laser force on Wednesday. I thought it was hard to see sometimes because it was a bit dark. I enjoyed shooting basketball at the trampoline park at Jumperama. I really liked dunking the ball in the hoop." - Fred Adrenalin Forest was Thursday's activity. The students agreed that this was the highlight of the wee, along with hanging out in the vans and singing. "Adrenalin first was an amazing experience but the down side was getting stuck in the middle of the zip line and just having to pull yourself to the end." - Hadessa "I liked Adrenalin Forest best because I got to have a good time with my friends and it was good teamwork. The zipline, it gives you an adrenaline rush 'cause it's scary and high. It was exhausting. Level 5 was hard as, but I liked it. It was my favourite trip!" - Christian "It was cool to see people face their fears at Adrenalin Forest." - Azriel "My favorite trip was the adrenaline forest it was very fun and challenging my favorite level was level 3." - Tucson
