Our Special Character

Established in 1984 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Wellington Seventh-day Adventist School (WSDA) began with just 24 students. Driven by strong academic outcomes and high community trust across the wider Christian network, the school has grown steadily over the decades. Today, WSDA delivers on its foundational mission with a current maximum capacity of 125 students.

The special character of the school is determined by the faith system made of the Christian beliefs, values and lifestyle of the Seventh-day Adventist Church as determined from time to time by the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church through New Zealand Seventh-day Adventist Schools Association Limited.

We are a state-integrated school that supports families and the Church in nurturing faith. By combining our special character with the NZ curriculum, we prepare students to be mature, caring Christians and purposeful citizens ready for eternity.
